Mr. Josh Walker
Preschool Director
Where I am from:
I was born in West Allis, WI during one of the worst storms in Wisconsin history. That was enough snow for me! Nine months later we moved to Fallbrook, CA where my Dad was called to begin work on a new school. I lived in California for 15 years. Our family moved once again during my junior year of high school to Tucson, AZ. Once I graduated high school I attended college in Phoenix and worked full time at Wells Fargo Bank. After a few years in the business world, I realized that I wanted to be a teacher and work with children. I enrolled at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where I met my beautiful wife Mandy. We were married in 2003. I graduated in 2004 and moved to Texas that same summer. We love this state and are glad to call Texas our home. We have an we two beautiful daughters Kylie and Sophia.
Education:
I received my Bachelor of Science in Education Degree at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 2004. I received my Minnesota Teaching License in 2004. I received my Texas Teaching License and Preschool Director’s Certificate in 2008. I am also a member of the TLCCA (Texas License Child Care Association)
Why I love Immanuel Lutheran Preschool:
Our preschool is very focused on its mission and purpose. We exist to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the children in our classroom. We also strive for excellence in preparing our students for kindergarten. Our preschool is a great place for children because we have teachers that love and care for them. The staff at Immanuel views each child as a gift from God. We take to heart the responsibility that we have to our children as we teach and care for them each day.
